Formerly known as the Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, Hawaii’s Wet n Wild water amusement park is located on the hills overlooking much of the best Kapolei real estate in the area.  The park opened in May 1999 and is one of the reasons Kapolei has been developed into the city it has become.  Featuring 25 acres of park and over 26 rides and attractions, Wet n Wild is the only water park in the state.  Besides water amusements, the Island Adventure Golf portion of the park is a high-end 18-hole miniature golf facility.  Catering to a wide range of people, the water park has become one of Hawaii’s premier entertainment center.  The park event hosts a number of private parties in the evenings.

The water park gained international exposure when musical artist Mariah Carey filmed a portion of her single’s music video at the park in 2008.  Some of the park’s most popular attractions include the Big Kahuna, Cliffhanger, Flyin’ Hawaiian, Da Flow Rider, Hurricane Bay, Kapolei Kooler, Keiki Kove, Shaka, Surfsliders, Volcano Express, Waianae Coaster, and Waterworld.  A number of new amusements are under construction at the park to add to the variety of attractions available to guests.  A number of tour groups, charters, and school groups can be found frequenting the park almost every day.
